After 2 years in college, I pursued a part-time job at a local print shop here in Grand Rapids, MI. It didn’t take long to realize that this would become my full-time career and my passion. Over the course of my career I’ve learned many different aspects of the printing industry. It began by helping brides find the perfect wedding invitation ensemble that suits their style and budget, working closely with them to place their order, and guiding them in all aspects of ordering such as proper wording and etiquette. This element of my career has continued for the past 28 years and I love It!
Knowledge & Experience in other related trades such as Typesetting, Graphic Arts and Pre-press has fostered the creativity that I enjoy utiiizing when working with all my clients.
I have also worked with corporate customers such as Amway, Frost, Spartan Stores & Metro Health-University of Michigan Health, plus numerous law firms and medical professionals in ordering various printed items such as Holiday Greeting Cards, Party Invitations, Letterheads, Envelopes, Business Cards & many other commercial items
The inspiration for naming the business came from working at a local print shop for 20 years and many times brides who were meeting someone at the shop, on their cell phone informing them that they had arrived, would refer to their location as a generic term saying “I’m at the invitation place” instead of the actual name of the business they were located at….. thus, the “generic” name was born.

With over 20 full-size sample albums we are sure to find something that fits your style and budget.
We will talk about what you are looking for, browse through some albums that fit your needs and price out your favorite options. An average initial consultation appointment takes about an hour and a half. Most clients like to “sleep on it” then make another appointment at a later date to place the order but you are welcome to place an order same day if both our schedules allow for that. If there are some details that are not quite finalized yet (example: times or menu selections) we can place the order in my hold file until you are ready to release the order.
The initial consultation appointment is no charge.
A 50% deposit is required at time of order. Balance due upon order pickup. Payment in full is required for online orders.
